Spy Network is Sofocatro's Hero Card, unlocked at level 4. One of the ally count cards, it provides a skull for each ally in play, and thus works best in decks full of them, rather obviously. Cheap allies like Militia, Serf, Patron, and Vintner are excellent choices for fueling this card, as it provides the board control they tend to otherwise lack.
It's also the natural choice for fueling Corruption, as it provides heady amounts of skulls once you have decent board position, and Corruption encourages you to spend skulls in order to profit. Synod complements this by accelerating your bank and giving you an outlet for the impressive amounts of gold Corruption will produce.
The only downsides to Spy Network are that it relies on decent amounts of allies on the board, and thus your deck has to be structured around it. It's also fairly expensive, though a Loan will usually cover it, and gaining board control is a fine investment of the money garnered in almost all cases.
