The last Vespitole producer, the Supplicant has several tradeoffs for making magic; it costs more than the Patron, Vintner, and Courtesan, and produces half as much. That said, it brings two major advantages in that it has two health, and feeding a Supplicant to heal it converts the food to magic and produces the magic at the same time, doubling the resource value. A lone Supplicant can tank tremendous retaliation fire in this manner, since healing it effectively costs nothing, and each magic produced on feed can be fired to proc the retaliation.
As it produces magic, the Supplicant is a key tool in powering Holy Wrath decks, and it also is an ideal dump for the food produced by Vintner, Clippers, and Harvest, as magic is naturally the most flexible of all resources. As it functions at half the speed and is slightly more expensive than other resource generators, it works best bought later when you have pooled food to convert already, instead of as an early purchase.
